Character Name: Liyang Yoon
Alias/Nickname: Loon; Flare
Gender: Male
Age: 16
Height: 6'0
Weight: 173 lbs
Appearance:
Personality: Because his moods seem to change constantly Liyang's personality is hard to pin down. One moment he can come across as fairly menacing, but the next minute he flinches back and starts talking to himself about how he really isn't cut out for the job. He can be civil and pleading one moment and then appear cynical and sarcastic the next. He can be clever and have a thing for noticing little details, but can also be completely oblivious to the obvious and make poor life choices. With the rapid changes all he really accomplishes is a very good impression of a complete spazz.
He usually puts up a fairly light-hearted and thoughtful front, unless the situation calls for seriousness. Still he usually thinks about others before he thinks about himself. It all boils down to him looking like a pushover, kind of air-headed, and not all that threatening. He doesn't enjoy fighting and will probably try to get out of it in any way he can.
Liyang loves to tease, mock, and mess with people on a daily basis. He has a tendency to dub his favorite "victims" (his friends) different names. But his intentions are never to hurt anyone. He dislikes negative people, senseless violence, and solitude.

History: Liyang Yoon pretty much had a simple life. Actually, he would say that he had a great life. He was born into a whealthy lifestyle in Deling City. His father was an oil tycoon and the money he made allowed his family to live a carefree life. Liyang had everything a child could ever want or need; caring parents and money. His mother, Mrs. Yoon, was very loving and tended to baby the boy at times. His father, Mr. Yoon, was one for tough love. He wanted to push his son to strive to be the best. Liyang knew this, but at times he did wish his father would ease up a little.
He was home schooled and had his very own martial arts trainer. When he was younger he never took his martial arts serious. But the way Liyang saw it was that he was going to follow in the footsteps of his father so why did he need to learn martial arts? It puzzled him, but he continued with his classes because it pleased his father.
Unfortunately, living a wealthy lifestyle had its downfalls. Liyang's only friend was his trainer, his parents, and their maids. This sheltered lifestyle was driving him crazy. So at the age of six he pleaded with his parents to send him to public school. His parents finally gave in to the boy's cries. He was truly happy. He was going to a real school and would have the chance to make real friends or so he thought.
First day of school, all the other children already disliked him because of his money. He was rich and they were jealous. It only got worst as the days went by. He quickly jumped to the top of his class in athletics and academics. The cold, stern looks he would get by other students and even some of the teachers caused the boy to want to quit. He could not though. Knowing his father, Mr. Yoon would tell the boy to strive through it, become strong. That's what Liyang planned to do.
Years passed and without a single friend, Liyang had found himself being bored. What was there to do now? The only choice that he had in front of him was to work under his father until he passed the business on to him. That was even more boring! He wanted excitement! He saw that excitement in Garden. When he told his parents of his plan they both told the boy no. He was throwing his future away. Liyang told them he did not want that boring lifestyle as his future. He wanted something fun, something amazing.
Seeing the look of determination in Liyang's eyes, Mr. Yoon gave his sons his blessings to do as he pleased. "You better come back to visit every month. You might be growing into a young man, but you're still our baby!" was his mother's parting words. He enter Balamb Garden and finally thought that he had found his place. He would not claim to be the best Cadet, but knew he was good. He enjoyed it, loved it! Always willing to go on any mission no matter how difficult or easy it might have been. For the first time he was facing hardships by himself (well with the others too). It was not until the fight between Balamb and Galbadia Garden (during the game) that he started to question this lifestyle. Did he truly want to become a SeeD?
During the fight Liyang lost his first and best friend, Zara. It shook him. He had never lost anyone before. Liyang thought it would be best for him to leave Garden for a while, but half a year later he found himself back. This was what he wanted to do and he would become SeeD for himself and in honor of his friend.
